Sightings along a straight line

The French ufologist Aimé Michel in Mysterious celestial objects ( Mystérieux objets célèstes , 1958) expounded his theory about the ' ortotenia . Ortotenia is a term that derives from the Greek word orthotenos meaning " arranged in a straight line "And with it, Michel, showed the phenomenon for which the UFO phenomena occur along straight lines second figure with a stellar dispersion point radiating more common ends. This was explained by the author as due to the possible presence of a airplane "mother" (cylindrical and large) that manages UFO minors To which events are due to low level that we observe.
The two most notorious cases of ortotenia are identified as BAVIC and soup. BAVIC (name coined dall'ufologo American Alexander Mebane) stands for Bayonne and Vichy , Places that mark the beginning and the end of the sightings of ' alignment (ie the number of sightings that form a straight line) and in detail the line BAVIC includes the following French cities where sightings have taken place: Bayonne, Lencouacq, Tulle, Ussel, Gelles and Vichy.
Alignment SOUP (so named by Michel) is bounded by: Southend-on-sea (Great Britain), Calais (France), Aire-sur-la-Lys (France), Niffer (France) and Po di Gnocca (Italy). If you look on a map line and the line BAVIC SOUP you can see that they are almost perfectly perpendiculars It seems that they were chosen carefully to identify the major continental areas, carefully avoiding the areas underdeveloped or less industrialized.
