aFiGoZ Scrivi Un Messaggio Privato What does it mean to be a 6 Dragons Kung Fu's practitioner?
What is necessary to be able to call ourselves 6DKF's practitioners? Let's see it.

From the school point of view, the practitioner is the one who:

Study the 6DKF's theory and apply it in training (read A full and free online guide to 6 Dragons Kung Fu, later we will see more about the exams to graduate)
Practice the basic fundamental exercises (except for sparring, read [restrict]Basic technical exercises: which and why and Basic physical exercises: which and why[/restrict])
Has passed the body awakening phase (before which we are only aspiring practitioners, read [restrict]The basics of 6 Dragons Kung Fu[/restrict])
Regularly practice meditation (at least 1-2 times per week, better if 14 times per week, read Meditation method 1)
From the ethical point of view, the practitioner is the one who:

Follows the rules and the philosophy of the school (read Dojo (guan): rules, respect and etiquette)
Avoid the use of violence if not extremely necessary (read  The fighter and the warrior and The 6DKF's diagram about the use of violence)
Has an open-minded view in relation to martial arts (but refuse any kind of not scientific / demonstrable theories, read The various points of view on martial arts)
Reach a natural attitude in respecting and helping others (read The right thing to do)
Unlike the amateur, a real 6DKF's practitioner (read The difference between 6DKF and other martial arts):

Puts Kung Fu in a high position within its priority scale (6DKF is, first of all, a style of life, read [restrict]What is 6 Dragons Kung Fu?[/restrict])
Train at least 4-5 times  per week (better if 6 times per week, read Tips on how to stretch our training times)
Never stop training regimen for more than a consecutive week per year (except in cases where it is not possible to train even a single limb of the body)
Is focused each minute of his workout on the idea of acting better than the previous one (no matter what, no distractions, read A relentless pursuit)
Is focused on 3 words, discipline, concentration and preparation (and in their sum up, determination)
These are the basics.

What is not mandatory to be a practitioner
A 6 Dragons Kung Fu practitioner is (as long as he understands the consequences, read Why martial arts do not work: 5 reasons) advised but not obliged to:

Practice sparring
Practice advanced conditioning
Learn to fight with proper / improper weapons
Learn the deceptive techniques
Learn advanced fighting techniques
Learn advanced fighting tactics
Learn self-defense strategy
Learn advanced skills (acrobatics, etc.)
Learn forms and sequences
A note by Master Kongling - As we said a lot of times, 6DKF can be used even only for: fitness, wellness, health and/or self-improvement but if we want to learn it in a deep manner we have to follow the entire teachings (read 6DKF: what does it teach?).
